Description

The Gloster Gladiator was the final British biplane fighter. It was in service with the Royal Air Force, the Royal Navy and Air Forces of many other countries in the late 1930s. It was used in the Norwegian company, the Battle of Britain, and in the Mediterranean. In total, 746 aircraft were built between 1936 and 1938. The Sea Gladiator Mk.II version for the Royal Navy had a three-blade propeller, Dinghy stowage and arrester hook. They operated from aircraft carriers HMS Glorious, HMS Furious, and HMS Eagle, as well as from ground airfields in countries such as Malta.
