PEUGEOT 206 WRC ’03 1/43 Scale kit

New Zealand, 2003 : Marcus Grönhalm enjoyed a third victory afterwinning in 2000 and 2002. Richard Burns mountes the podium only just finishing second after a brave struggle with Petter Solberg. Peugeot achieved another double victory. When he took the lead of the rally at the end of the first special event and held on to it until the finish, Marcus Grönholm, once again, outclassed his opponents. By scoring ten ‘best times’ during this rally, the Finnish was in full control from end to end, despite a near miss during the special Event n°13. He somersaulted –actually not losing a lot of time- but kept ahead of the Ford pilot, Markko Märtin, who was the only real threat. Markko Märtin was soon after victim of a breackdown forcing him to withdraw. The double victory achieved by the Peugeot pilots enabled the French make to temporarily take the lead of the Constructors’ Championship, which was up to now hels by Citroën. However, the season was not finished…
