384 Pages of many New Historic Photos, Stories and Accounts of the German Aircraft & Airmen who arrived in Ireland.

This book will be of great interest to readers of Irish Military Aviation and History books. The Book tells  of both the Aviation & the Human side of the story of the German Airmen who Crash Landed in Ireland during the emergency period.

The authors spent 20 years compiling the information for the book; traveling to crash sites, meeting locals who tended to injured airmen. They also traveled to Germany to interview the surviving  Airmen and to document personal accounts of their Time spent at the Curragh Internment Camp, Co Kildare.

The Book contains many photographs found in Germany that had not been seen in Ireland before showing the Airmen as they passed their time as Internees while war raged across Europe.  The   extraordinary arrangement that permitted the Internees to earn money footing Turf in the bog of Allen and granted  day passes to shop and socialize in Newbridge, Kildare & Naas, Saturday swimming in the river Liffey, Playing Tennis at Ryston Newbridge and attend Black Tie Dances at the Gresham Hotel in Dublin.

Book Weight 2 Kilograms.

The following work has focused on a select piece of history largely forgotten today. Back in September 1939 war clouds were gathering over Europe and neutral Ireland was about to feel the effects of the conflict that lay ahead. During World War Two Ireland remained neutral, but this did not stop the regular over flights into Irish airspace of Luftwaffe and Allied aircraft.

Both Luftwaffe and Allied planes crashed on or near neutral Ireland from September 1939 to May 1945. At times the only clues to such losses were either wreckage or bodies being washed up.
