The aircraft model offers decals for the livery of Air China, the flag carrier airline of the Peoples Republic of China (PRC). When Chinese government VIPs travel abroad, they use 747s from Air China as their official form of transport. What is it that makes this item so exciting, you ask? First of all, this is the very first 1/144 scale civilian airliner in the Dragon range. This means the plastic model comes from completely new and accurate toolings. And then add to this the fact that the model has a cutaway configuration that allows internal views of the fuselage, passenger cabin and cockpit. Even the wings have cutaway sections.

Plus there are also the extra accessories included in the set. Items like a premier lookalike figure and passenger boarding stairs are included. If desired, the cabin door can be shown open with the waving premier figure to recreate a VIP scene. This amazing 747-400P can be displayed as a mini diorama with these accessories and the undercarriage lowered, or alternatively it can be shown in flying mode on the display stand included in the box. This scale aircraft will impress all who view it! Interestingly, the phoenix logo of Air China is an artistic rendering of the acronym VIP. In every sense of the word, this model kit attains VIP status!
